KSRA Metro Box League

By popular demand, the KSRA is initiating a Fall Box League that will be played October, November & December.   This is open to all metro Area squash players regardless of Club affiliation.  Those interested must sign up by September 30, 2009 at 6:00 P.M.  The brackets will be opened online Oct. 1, 2009.  The Summer League, with over 40 players, has now been posted online and should be available for review.  These results are part of each player?s game history and factor into their national ranking.

For those that haven't played in a Box League yet, players are be assigned into a group or box based on rankings and similar skills.  For the Fall League, there will only be 5 players in each box.  This means that you will have 4 matches to play in a given month.  This is a slight reduction from the summer league and is intended to leave schedules open for the Club Leagues that should be starting up soon.  Players in each box schedule their own matches with the other players in the box.  Games are played at the players? own clubs or courts and the players decide how to handle any guest fee, if any.  Either player may post the game scores on the US Squash web site after the game.

At the end of the month, the players with the most points will move up to the next box.  The players with the fewest points will move down to the lower box. Obviously, those failing to schedule their games have a built-in penalty.  Play resumes the next month within the new group.  At the end of the season, the League winners are determined by the most points for all three months combined.  The details on league scoring and instructions for posting match scores will be sent out to everyone that signs up.

(2) Advise whether you will pay by check, or if you want the $20 fee charged to your club account (Pendennis or LBC).

(3) Include your US Squash/KSRA member number if you have it so I will be sure to apply the $5 discount.
